David's 02 GT Mach Clone

This is my 2002 Mustang GT that I bought in June 2003. It was traded in with a total of 2600 miles on it because the previous owner needed a truck to pull his drag car trailer.

Factory specs:
4.6L SOHC - 5 spd transmission
Deluxe package
Born on September 10, 2001
Colorado Red also known as Torch Red on the dealers window sticker

Modifications:
The wheels that are seen on the car are the original wheels that came on the car, however they were sent to California to be completely stripped of the grey paint, repainted argent clearcoat, and a high polish outter edge was put on the rims. It's much shinier than the factory polish. There was only one color available on the bullitt rims when this car was produced.
Spin-Tech Cobra R style side dump exhaust
K&N air filter
Mach 1 chin spoiler
Rear spoiler was removed and painted with Ford AF-2 satin black to match the Mach 1 scheme
Antenna shortened to give the car a lower profile
Ford Motorsport 3.73 gear - did it yesterday, WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT!
Infinity Reference speakers
Shaker cold air induction kit by Classic Design Concepts - and to the rice rockets THIS is TRUE cold air induction
I have been asked this question many times: "Does the Shaker kit help the car accelerate faster?" I test drove about 5 GT's before I settled on this one including a new 2003 Redfire GT (of course all of them being the 5 spd). I regularly play with other Mustangs on the interstate and the Shaker kits makes enough difference that it will SLOWLY walk away from any new STOCK GT at speeds of 85 or better (this was of course before I did all of the other modifications). It serves absolutely no purpose at speeds less than 85 except for looks. There isn't much suction taken from the Shaker kit so whatever air it gets must be forced in.

Modifications I have but have not installed yet:
Rockford Fosgate 500X4 amp - since I don't have the Mach 460 system
Sony XM radio - our local stations leave a lot to be desired

Modifications that are currently on the wish list: - in no particular order
Rousch rear skirts, to cover the factory exhaust cut outs
Leather seats
FMS underdrive pulleys
Steeda lowering springs
C&L cold air tube
Tail light sequencer
13" brakes up front
Tinted windows
Borla or Bassani X pipe, haven't decided yet
Short throw shifter, haven't decided which kind to go with yet
A-pillar dual gage pod
FMS aluminum driveshaft
...and maybe a new licenseplate?

Modifications I had on the car and removed because I didn't like them:
Mach 1 grille delete kit - just didn't match the car

More updates hopefully soon to come! - Ford Fun Forever
